I started volunteering for GMFA today by attending one of their meetings in London Bridge. It was great although due to Christmas many people were absent. We spent two hours looking at five different approaches to their upcoming HIV prevention campaign. This run of ads is targeting both HIV positive and negative men and will show different people's reasons for having safe sex. Ranging from a want to keep your partner safe to preventing the spread of the disease. It was great for me to be involved in the more conceptual side of things and have a say about what works and what doesn't before it goes to the design phase. It is of course also great to feel part of something and to feel that I am in some way contributing to the community. Watch this space as we develop our ideas into something more tangible.
