reasons campaign

So the safe sex campaign for the GMFA, I have been involved with, is now live. The ads focus around six guys and their reasons for 'choosing' safe sex. GMFA doesn't preach or lecture so the campaign had to focus around positive ideas based around why gay guys have safe sex. The print ads are running in the gay press right now and are being drip fed in. The full print campaign can be seen here. The banner campaign (which I built) is now live at puffta and will be going live very soon at gaydar and gay.com. Check it out here but be warned that like all banners you may need to refresh the page a few times in order to see the ad. It should look something like the screenshot below.

GMFA

I started volunteering for GMFA today by attending one of their meetings in London Bridge. It was great although due to Christmas many people were absent. We spent two hours looking at five different approaches to their upcoming HIV prevention campaign. This run of ads is targeting both HIV positive and negative men and will show different people's reasons for having safe sex. Ranging from a want to keep your partner safe to preventing the spread of the disease.

It was great for me to be involved in the more conceptual side of things and have a say about what works and what doesn't before it goes to the design phase. It is of course also great to feel part of something and to feel that I am in some way contributing to the community. Watch this space as we develop our ideas into something more tangible. Feel free to visit the website here where there are links and the ability to donate should you so desire.
